Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta - Serves 2


Ingredients:

  • 200g (7 oz) spaghetti or any pasta

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 200g (7 oz) raw shrimp (peeled & deveined)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Pinch of chili flakes (optional)

  • Juice of ½ lemon

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

  • Grated Parmesan (optional)


Instructions:


  1. Boil Pasta

    • Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions (about 7–9 minutes).

    • Reserve ¼ cup of the pasta water before draining.

  2. Cook Shrimp

    • While pasta cooks, heat butter in a pan over medium heat.

    • Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    • Toss in shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes (if using).

    • Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, until pink and opaque.

  3. Combine

    • Add drained pasta to the pan with shrimp.

    • Squeeze lemon juice over it and add a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce.

    • Toss everything together for 1 minute.

  4. Finish & Serve

    • Top with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan if desired.

    • Serve immediately.
